Student Ministry Core Values

These 7 Values serve as a framework within which our ministry strives to operate. We believe these values should never change. The way we fulfill them can and will change from time to time...but the values themselves should never change! 

1.  Family Focused: God has called parents to be the primary teachers of spiritual instruction (Deuteronomy 6:4-9; Ephesians 6:4). Therefore we will do everything we can to love, encourage, support, and equip parents to be the primary teacher of spiritual instruction.

2.  Maturing Discipleship: Jesus commanded the church to train believers how to live in relationship with Him (Matthew 28:20). Therefore we will train students how to maintain an active relationship with Jesus Christ that is based on the principles of Scripture and is demonstrated by a life that increasingly imitates the character of God. 

3.  Cultural Relevance: Our ministry should maintain relevance to the daily lives of our students (1 Corinthians 9:19-23). Therefore we will consistently evaluate our programs to ensure relevance to today’s teen culture. 

4.  Diverse Fellowship: The cross has destroyed the walls that divide us and has molded us into a family (1 Corinthians 12:12; Ephesians 2:19). Therefore we will embrace all people surrendered to the Lordship of Christ regardless of their background. We will also value authenticity in our relationships with each other. 

5.  Lifestyle Worship: Our purpose is to magnify God through the life we live (Romans 12:1). Therefore we will teach and model for students what it means to live a life of worship and give them opportunities to express their worship individually and corporately. 

6.  Worldwide Evangelism: The Great Commission commands us to carry the gospel to the whole world. Therefore we will equip ourselves to take the gospel to our community, the ends of the earth, and everywhere in between (Acts 1:8). 

7.  Compassionate Ministry: Every disciple is gifted to serve and called to be a minister regardless of their age (1 Peter 4:10). Therefore we will equip every student to perform the ministry to which God has called them and give them the opportunity to carry out that ministry in love.
