Deuteronomy 6:4-7 says, "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your sould and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up."

Parents have a Biblical mandate to be the source of primary spiritual instruction for their children! Unfortunately, there are too few parents who have accepted that responsibility and are actively teaching and modeling Biblical truth in the home. Instead, many parents have relied on the church to teach their children spiritual truths and principles.

It is my conviction that there are many parents that just don't know what to do or how to do it. It's not that they don't want to or don't think it's important; they just haven't been taught how! Most parents didn't receive solid Biblical instruction in the home when they were children and are really searching for a way they can pass on to their children the Biblical truth God has taught them.

That's where I believe the church comes in. Our ministry doesn't exist to do your job as a parent for you. We do exist, however, to partner with you and help equip you to fulfill your God-given responsibility. We're kind of like Home Depot when it comes to this: "You can do it. We can help."
